Ingredients.
8 slices of D’Italiano® Thick Slice Original White Bread¾ of a stick of butter½ cup of raisins6 eggs , beaten2 ½ cups of milk¾ cups white sugar1 tsp. of ground cinnamon1 tsp. vanilla extractCranberries, for serving.
Instructions.
Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).Break bread into small pieces into a baking pan and/or individual pans. Drizzle melted butter over bread. If desired, sprinkle with raisins.In a medium mixing bowl, combine eggs, milk, sugar, cinnamon, and vanilla. Beat until well mixed. Pour over bread, and lightly push down with a fork until bread is covered and soaking up the egg mixture.Bake in the preheated oven for 50 minutes, or until the top springs back when lightly tapped.Let cool for 10 minutes.Top with your favourite festive toppings such as cranberries or raisins.
