Ingredients

  • 1 bottle Diana Sauce®, Original flavour
  • 1 bottle Diana Marinade™, Garlic & Herb flavour
  • 11/2 lb (750 g) ground beef
  • 6 D’Italiano® Original Crustini Buns, or D’Italiano® 100% Whole Wheat Crustini Buns
  • 1 fresh garlic clove
  • 1 egg
  • 12 cooked bacon strips (2 per bun)
  • 6 lettuce leafs
  • 6 tomato slices
  • 2 tbsp (30 ml) light mayonnaise
  • ¼ cup (50 ml) dry bread crumbs
  • ½ tsp (2 ml) salt
  • ½ tsp (2 ml) pepper

How to make

  • Whisk 1 egg with 1/4 cup (50 ml) bread crumbs, 1/4 cup (50 ml) Diana Sauce®, 1 minced garlic clove, 1/2 tsp (2 ml) each salt and pepper.
  • Crumble in ground beef; mix well.Form into 6 square patties.
  • Preheat grill to medium. Grill burgers for 8 minutes; turn and baste with Diana Sauce® to taste.
  • Grill for 6 to 8 minutes or until an instant-read thermometer inserted into the centre of burgers registers 160°F (71°C).
  • Brush buns with 1/2 cup (125 ml) Diana MarinadeTM and grill until toasted. Blend 2 tbsp (30 ml) each mayonnaise and Diana Sauce® until combined.
  • Arrange cooked burgers on toasted buns; top with bacon, tomato and lettuce leaf. Slather with mayo sauce.
