Turkey Burgers with Chipotle Mayonnaise

Makes 4 servings.


1/2 cup (125 ml) mayonnaise
1 minced canned chipotle chili in adobo sauce
1 tsp (5 ml) lime juice
1 lb (500 g) ground turkey
1 green onion, finely chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
1/4 tsp (1 ml) salt
1 tbsp (15 ml) chopped fresh coriander
8 tomato slices
4 lettuce leaves
4 cooked bacon slices, halved
4 D'Italiano® Thintini™, Original or 100% Whole Wheat


In small bowl, combine mayonnaise, minced chipotle chili, and lime juice. In another bowl, combine ground turkey, 1/4 cup (50 ml) chipotle chili mayonnaise, green onion, garlic and salt. Shape into 4 patties. Grill over medium-high heat for 10 to 12 minutes, turning once, or until cooked. Add coriander to remaining mayonnaise mixture. Toast buns if desired. Assemble burgers with lettuce, tomato, bacon and top with reserved mayonnaise.
