Fresh Salmon Burger

This recipe uses:

D'Italiano® Thintini

Original or 100% Whole Wheat

Makes 4 burgers.


1 egg
1/2 cup (125 ml) fresh bread crumbs
1 clove garlic, minced
1 green onion, finely chopped
2 tbsp (30 ml) finely chopped fresh dill
1 tbsp (15 ml) grated lemon zest
2 tsp (10 ml) Dijon mustard
1 1/4 4 lbs (625 g) boneless, skinless salmon fillet
  salt and pepper to taste
4 D’Italiano® Original ThintiniTM buns


1 thinly sliced cucumber
1 thinly sliced red onion


Combine first 7 ingredients for burgers in mixing bowl. Cut salmon into stips then chop with a sharp knife or in food processor using on/off pulses until the texture of hamburger meat. Add egg mixture. Mix well. Shape into 4 patties. Chill at least 30 minutes before cooking.

Pan-fry burgers in greased frying pan on medium heat for 3 to 4 minutes per side or until golden brown and cooked through.

Sandwich burgers in ThinitiniTM buns with cucumber and red onion slices.

Cooking Time: 8 minutes
