Chicken Parmesan Panini

D'Italiano® Galic Bread

Makes 3 to 4 servings.


1 D’Italiano® Garlic Bread
4 frozen breaded chicken breast fillets
1/2 green pepper, cut into strips
1/2 small onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  salt and freshly ground pepper, to taste
6 tbsp (90 ml) prepared tomato pasta sauce
1/3 cup (75 ml) shredded Asiago or Mozzarella cheese


Bake chicken fillets according to package directions. Meanwhile, in skillet, cook peppers and onion in olive oil over medium heat for about 3-5 minutes or until softened and lightly browned. Season with salt and pepper and keep warm. 5 minutes before chicken is cooked, remove from oven and top each fillet with pasta sauce and sprinkle with cheese. Return to oven and continue baking. Heat garlic bread on stick according to package directions. Place Chicken Parmesan along 1 side of heated D’Italiano® garlic bread, overlapping to fit. Top with pepper-onion mixture. Cut into 3 or 4 sandwiches.
