Ingredients:
6 Slices of whole wheat D'Italiano bread cubedDirections:
Arrange half of the bread cubes over the bottom of a greased 8 inch baking dish. Top evenly with smoked meat and cheese. In a bowl beat together eggs, onion, mustard, nutmeg and caraway; gradually whisk in hot milk. Pour half over bread cubes. Top with remaining bread cubes then pour remaining milk mixture over top. Cover and let sit at room temp. for 30 minutes. Bake uncovered at 325 for about 50 min. until slightly puffed and browned. Serve hot, makes 6 servings.
