Ingredients:
-12 Slices of D'Italiano Original Thick Slice Bread
*24 Slices if you would like to have tops on all mini pies
-3 diced Apples (Any kind)
-3 tsp. cinnamon
-6 tsp. brown sugar
-1 tsp lemon juice
-1-2 tbs. butter
-2 tsp white sugar
Directions:
Note: Pre-heat oven to 350*c
1. Flatten out 12 slices of bread with your hands.
2. With a kitchen drinking glass cut out circles from the center of each flattened slice of bread.
3. Press these 12 slices into individual muffin tray cups
4. Butter each slice slightly with small kitchen brush... Not with one from your paint supplies ;)
5. In large bowl mix:
-3 diced apples
-3 tsp cinnamon
-6 tsp brown sugar
-1 tsp lemon juice
6. Fill each cup up with apple mixture.
7. If you would like tops on your pies:
-Cut 12 flattened bread slices again with your kitchen glass
-Butter both sides
-Place on top of each "mini-pie" and press down around it slightly do it is snug within the muffin tray hole
-Sprinkler all the tops with cinnamon & white sugar (no need to measure!)
8. Place all 12 "D'Italiano Mini Apple Pies" in the oven for 25 minutes at 350*c and YOUR DONE!
