Ingredients:2 D'ITALIANO CRUSTINI BUNS
2 Portobello mushrooms washed/dried stems removed
Balsamic vinaigrette mixed with 1 minced clove garlic.
2 medium slices Provolone cheese
2 Tbsp.your fave B.Q.sauce.
1/2 red onion sliced/grilled
2 2 inch slices English cucumber
Arugula lettuce -enough for two burgers.
garlic aoli (3Tbsp. mayo or miracle whip mixed with 1 minced garlic clove)
Directions:Marinate mushrooms (in Balsamic vinaigrette and garlic)up to 24 hours, 1 hour is fine. Grill mushrooms for approx. 4-6 minutes each side depending on your heat settings or grill. add Provolone cheese slices and heat in oven until melted. If you like your D'italiano Crustini buns warmed and a little crispy, add at the same time for the same amount of time. Take out, spread garlic Aoli on each bun half, add mushrooms with melted cheese to bun bottoms. Add B.Q. sauce, onions, cucumber, salt/pepper, and Arugula lettuce. Add tops of buns. Bite and say Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.....
