2 pounds lean ground beef
2 cloves minced fresh garlic
1 large egg, well beaten
1/2 cup DItaliano bread crumbs (whole wheat Thick Slice Bread)
2 tablespoons dried Chipolte Mango Seasoning
1/4 green onions, thinly sliced
2 tablespoons fresh chopped flat leaf parsley
1/2 teaspoon chilli flakes
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
1 cup butter at room temperature
3 clove fresh minced garlic
16 slices DItaliano Whole Wheat Thick Sliced Bread
1 cup real mayonnaise
4 tablespoons Chipolte hot sauce
Toppings for burgers:
2 mangoes, peeled, cored, and thinly sliced
16 slices tomatoes
4 cups shredded lettuce
8 dill pickle thinly sliced
2 cups caramelized onions (sautes in 3 tablespoons butter)
2 cups grated sharp cheddar cheese.
In a large bowl, combine the following ingredients and mix well with fingers until well incorporated:
ground beef, garlic,egg, bread crumbs,chipolte mango seasoning,green onions, parsley, chili flakes, black pepper, and Worcestershire sauce. shape into 8 hamburger patties. Set aside.
In another small bowl combine the 1 cup butter with 3 clove fresh minced garlic. Set aside.
Mix 1 cup real mayonnaise with 4 tablespoons Chipolte hot sauce until well combined and set aside.
Meanwhile in fry pan on medium heat saute 2 cups of onions with 3 tablespoons butter until lightly caramelized. Set aside
Spread Garlic butter on both sides of the 16 slices of bread. Place bread on 2 - 13 x 9 inch non stick baking sheets. Bake in a preheated 350 degree f oven for 15 minutes. Remove from oven and turn slices over. Set aside.
Meanwhile on hot barbeque cook the 8 hamburg patties until well done. 5 minutes on each side. Set aside.
Place 8 slices of bread on large platter spreading generous amounts of chipolte mayo over all slices. Top each slice of bread with burger Pattie, mango slices, tomatoes, shredded lettuce, dill pickle, and caramelized onion. Top with equal amounts of grated sharp cheddar cheese.
Top with remaining 8 slices of garlic toast and serve immediately.
Serve with tall glass of cold beer. Enjoy!!!!!!!!!!
