
Tarts D'Italiano !

Ingredients:
4 slices D’italiano thick slice white breadDirections:
Turn on sandwich grill to ensure it is good and hot. I used my George Forman grill but any sandwich grill will work. If you don’t have a sandwich grill, you can pan fry your sandwich, cover with a lid to assist in the melting of the cheese. Fry strips of bacon then let cool and cut into small pieces set aside. While bacon is frying cut up red onion and sauté in olive oil on medium heat until just soft about 3-5 minutes. Combine butter, garlic and parsley and spread on grilling side of D’Italliano bread. Spread ranch dressing on the inside of all four slices of D’Italiano. Layer ingredients onto bread in the following order (a bit of mozzarella is added in between each layer to help the whole thing stick together nicely) slice of swiss cheese, bacon, mozzarella, tomato slices, mozzarella, sautéed onion, mozzarella, chives, slice of swiss cheese. Now put on the grill close the lid let it cook until toasted, about three minutes. Remove from grill. Enjoy! This is a great “bring them home” recipe.
