Ingredients:
8 pieces of D'Italiano thick bread
8 eggs
1 1/2 cup of half and half cream
pinch of salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tsp vanilla
8 tbs of melted butter
you will also need these items
1 5-6$ worth of french brie double cream
1 package frozen cranberries
Directions:
Mix the eggs, cream, salt, baking powder sugar and vanilla, mix well.
Place the bread in a baking pan and pour the egg mixture over let it sit for
15 min, turn bread over let it sit another 15 min you want it to soak up all
the egg mixture.
Place cookie sheet in a 400 degree oven just to get the pan warmed up,
take the pan out and lie each piece of bread one inch apart, turn oven down
to 375 degrees cook 8 minutes, take out and brush each piece with melted butter, back in oven for 8 minutes do not turn the pieces of bread over.
This part is done.
Cut about three slices of brie per person, you will put one piece of bread down,
cranberry sauce, and three pieces of brie, then another bread and more
brie and cranberries dust with a bit of icing sugar and enjoy.
How to make the cranberry sauce
Place frozen cranberries in pot with either honey or granulated sugar, to taste,
I find cranberries very bitter these days, so please taste it or you will ruin your toast! Cook down approx. 10 min, you can store any extra in tupper ware container it lasts a long time.
