Ingredients:
1 loaf of D'Italiano whole wheat bread
2 pounds of lean ground chicken
1/4 cup chopped onion
1 tbsp ground mustard
1 tbsp minced garlic
1/4 cup parsley flakes
1 egg
1/4 cup milk
2 1/2 cups of Italian bread crumbs
Condiments:
1/2 cup honey mustard
1/2 cup miracle whip
3/4 cup hot pepper rings
3/4 cup sliced red onion
8 large dill pickles sliced thin
2 large tomatoes sliced
8 slices of swiss cheese
8 pieces of lettuce
1 package of hickory smoked bacon
1 cup of BBQ sauce any flavour
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 F, mix all of the ingredients, this does not include the condiments. Heat frying pan on medium-low, add a little bit of olive oil to the pan, after mixing ingredients form into patties, this will make 8 large patties. Lightly fry the patties until browned on both sides. Baste each patty on both sides with the BBQ sauce then bake for about 35-40 minutes. Cook bacon slices separately.
After patties are cooked add a slice of swiss cheese to each patty turn oven off leave patties in oven until the cheese melts.
You will need 3 pieces of bread for each sandwhich.
Lightly toast bread, then butter each piece, each sandwhich will have:
bottom toast spread miracle whip then add 2 large slices of tomato,5 pieces of cooked bacon, then add second piece of toast, spread this piece with honey mustard then add the cooked chicken patty, red onion, hot peppers, pickles, lettuce then spread miracle whip again on the top peice of toast.
